JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Problems persist that could threaten the opening of Duval County's new courthouse.
The issue revolves around fire safety and authorities warn if they don't pass certain tests, the courthouse opening scheduled for Tuesday could be delayed.

Overnight, new tests were underway, according to our news gathering partner, The Florida Times-Union.
The newspaper reported the company building the courthouse did new tests Thursday night for fire suppression and alarms that lasted at least six hours.

If they pass, they'll allow an independent engineer to confirm the results.
If they fail, the opening will likely be delayed, the newspaper reported.
